Katherine J. Tranum is your principal flooring consultant. I started my commercial flooring business while living in Dallas, TX, in 2003. I moved home to Tulsa and certified my company through the Cherokee Nation's TERO program as well as the Creek Nation CESO program in 2012.
As a descendant of Chief James Bigheart, she named the company Bigheart in honor of her heritage.
Osage Chief James Bigheart
James Bigheart was the Principal Chief of the Osage Tribe from 1875 to 1906. James Bigheart is my great-great-grandfather. Because of the leadership of James Bigheart, we are benefiting from the 1906 ACT on retaining mineral rights. He was known as the most brilliant leader and politician the Osage has ever known. A recent book, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ by David Grann, contains details of the Osage murders and the birth of the FBI.

My mother is the oldest living relative of Chief Bigheart.
Chief Bigheart established oil royalties called "Head Rights" among 2,229 Osage Nation tribal members. During the oil rush of the 1920's Oklahoma , the Osages prospered.
Author David Grann documented the Osage Reign of Terror in a book. " Killers of the Flower Moon" was on the New York bestseller list. Killers of the Flower Moon movie was also made into an Oscar-nominated.
Their newfound riches, however, sparked jealousy and greed among the surrounding whites people.
